A spicy Nigerian fish soup made with sea bream, a special pepper soup spice blend, scotch bonnet peppers, shrimp, and tomato paste. This soul-warming dish is simple to prepare and perfect for cold weather.

- WaterSufficient to cover the fish
- 1 pcsDadoStock cube (e.g., chicken or vegetable)
- Miscela di Spezie Pepper SoupPre-made pepper soup spice blend
- Peperoncino Scotch BonnetTo taste, for spiciness
- Small ShrimpSmall shrimp (raw, shell-on or peeled)
- Tomato PasteA small amount
Method
- Clean the whole sea bream and cut it into pieces, keeping the head.
- Place the fish pieces in a pot, add enough water to cover them, and turn on the heat.
- Add a stock cube to the pot.
- Add the pepper soup spice mix to the pot and stir.
- Add extra water if needed and a few scotch bonnet peppers for spiciness.
- Add some shrimp to the pot.
- Add a little tomato paste and stir.
- Let the soup cook until the fish is done and flavors meld.
- Serve hot, being careful of fish bones.
