A crispy and cheesy rice paper roll stuffed with soft salami, scamorza cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, and fresh basil. Perfect as a snack or aperitif for both kids and adults.

Method

  1. Prepare the filling: cut the salami into sticks, the sun-dried tomatoes into strips, the scamorza into small pieces, and tear the basil leaves.
  2. Soak two sheets of rice paper in water until softened.
  3. Lay the soaked sheets overlapping on a sheet of parchment paper.
  4. Distribute the scamorza, sun-dried tomatoes, salami sticks, and basil over the rice paper.
  5. Roll tightly into a log, tucking in the ends to form a snail shape.
  6. Place the roll on a baking tray (use a pan with a metal handle if needed). Brush with a little oil and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 210-215°C for about 10 minutes, until golden and crispy.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving (optional: enjoy with a cold beer).
