Bleecker Burger Spitalfields

“I got a double bacon cheeseburger, the closest thing to the one I had at Black Bear. The bun is super soft and light, well-toasted. The meat is incredibly juicy — look at it drip! For me, this is 10 spans above the other one. It solves the problem I had with the previous burger: the meat here is so succulent. The bite is an obstacle course. This meat tastes exactly like Black Angus — it's like eating a steak. However, the bun gets a bit soggy because it's very light, so it's not a very tidy burger to eat, but I love getting messy, making love to the food, so it's perfect. The bacon isn't very crunchy, I don't get much smokiness, and the sauces are a bit more standard. So these two burgers play on the side ingredients, because the meat here drives me crazy. The next bite will be incredible. What's amazing is how consistent it is — I had the same burger at Spitalfields Market a year ago and it's identical.”
