The story
Nestled along the Nera River in Narni, Da Nicoletta is a true Umbrian trattoria that rewards those who seek it out. The setting alone is striking—a scenic, waterfront patio that feels both rustic and serene. As the creators at JustUs put it, “the setting by the Nera River was beautiful,” and the friendly staff only adds to the warm, casual atmosphere.
The kitchen delivers exactly the kind of honest, regional cooking that makes a trattoria worth visiting. JustUs singled out the wild boar manfrigoli (“excellent”) and the lasagna as highlights. Beyond those standouts, the menu offers bruschettine miste, a tagliere misto, and a parmigiana di melanzane with thin slices of meat. Da Nicoletta is a quiet gem that earns the detour.

AI summary of what 5 dish mentions say about the food
The tagliere misto steals the show, a generous board of cured meats and cheeses that feels like a true Italian welcome. The overall vibe is warm, rustic, and unpretentious, perfect for a relaxed, hearty meal.
“The platter was more than decent. There was porchetta, pecorino, salami, prosciutto, lonza, sausages cut vertically, wild boar mortadella, coppiette, and ciauscolo. The porchetta was fresh, soft, well cooked, not chewy or dry. The coppiette were a surprise, we've never found them anywhere else. The wild boar mortadella distinctly tasted different from normal. All quite particular and interesting. We liked it.”

Dishes mentioned
Bruschettine Miste
We got some mixed bruschettas. There was one with an eggplant cream, one with zucchini, and a classic one with peppers and oil. The bread is very well toasted, nice and crunchy. The eggplant cream one seems good.

The porchetta was fresh, soft, well cooked, not chewy or dry. The coppiette were a surprise, we've never found them anywhere else. The wild boar mortadella distinctly tasted different from normal. All quite particular and interesting. We liked it.
Manfrigoli al Sugo di Cinghiale
We had the manfrigoli with wild boar sauce, but in white, without tomato, because I think tomato masks the flavors. And it was a plus: the wild boar meat stood out much more. It was beautiful, indulgent, lusty, properly seasoned. Wonderful. It reminds me of the roe deer pasta we had in Abruzzo at Guado della Valle. Great first course.
Lasagna Bianca con Zucchine e Provola
The white lasagna with zucchini and provola was wonderful. Four layers of wonder. The lasagna pasta is well made, melts in your mouth. Zucchini and provola pair perfectly. There was a veil of béchamel, some Parmesan, and then gratin on both top and bottom making it nice and crunchy outside and soft inside. Delicious.
