The onions and a little tomato add a bit of acidity. It's not too salty, so you season it Thai style: squeeze on some lime, add prik chilies and fish sauce. That acidity, freshness of lime, saltiness of fish sauce, burst of chili heat — that's comfort on another level. And you chase with the green onion to complete the experience. At 100 baht per plate, under $3, they're very generous with the crab. I had to get another plate — impossible to stop at one.
