Reviewers rave about the Ligure, a standout dish that captures Salamell’s warm, rustic charm. The overall vibe is cozy and satisfying, with each plate feeling like a heartfelt tribute to simple, bold flavors.
“I got the San Siro with the spicy salamellat, really stuffed, with peppers, onion, fontina, ketchup and mayo. I don't know where to start. Super good. I like the bread — among all the flavors in there, you can still taste it. The spicy salamell and then the mix of ingredients, peppers, onion, fontina, it works perfectly.”
“This is the classic one — salamella, peppers, mayo, ketchup, onion, and fontina. It tastes like I'm 20 years old, coming back from a night out, drunk, and stopping at the food truck. It's nostalgic. The pepper and onion come through strongly, the fake pink sauce, and the cheese rounds it all out. It's simpler than the others, but it makes me happy. It's my least favorite of the four, but still good.”

San Siro
I got the San Siro with the spicy salamellat, really stuffed, with peppers, onion, fontina, ketchup and mayo. I don't know where to start. Super good. I like the bread — among all the flavors in there, you can still taste it. The spicy salamell and then the mix of ingredients, peppers, onion, fontina, it works perfectly.
Ligure
And on the menu, as soon as we read 'Ligure', how could we not get it with pesto, mozzarella, Taggiasca olives and pine nuts and sweet salamellat. Great mix of flavors here too. Obviously it's not the pesto we're used to, but it's still an excellent pesto and I like that you can still taste the salamellat. I didn't expect it because they're all strong flavors, but this one also works really well. Excellent sandwiches.
Salamellaz is a viral smash burger spot in Milan that turns the classic Italian salamella sausage into a smashed patty — the food is very good, the nuggets are amazing, and the bread is excellent, though the salamella flavor sometimes gets overshadowed by the other ingredients.
Dishes mentioned
Nuggets
These nuggets have a really strong pepper flavour, and the breading is crunchy like cornflakes — it stays crunchy even after a few minutes. Way better than the McDonald's ones, honestly. I'd come back just for these. They're huge, 6 pieces for €7, and they're amazing with the sauces.
Ban (Pulled)
This is the pulled ban — two 80g salamella patties smashed, with cheddar, pulled something, and barbecue wasabi sauce. It's huge, really hot, and the caramelized onion is super sweet. The bun is normal but works perfectly. I burned my mouth because it was so hot, but it's delicious. Very balanced, not too heavy, I could eat two of these.
Delicato
This one has smashed salamella, radicchio, a ton of walnuts, gorgonzola, and honey. The bread is different — more standard, toasted, crunchy, perfect texture. It's really good, you taste the walnuts a lot, and the salamella finally comes through. It tastes like a refined version of the classic late-night street food. This is my favorite of the four.
Calabrotto
This has 'nduja, peppers, potatoes, spicy salami, provola, and I added the spicy salamella. It's very good but the 'nduja tends to cover everything else. The provola rounds it out and makes it more human. I expected it to be spicier given the amount of 'nduja, but it's just right so the average person doesn't die. It's my third favorite after the Delicato and the Ban.
San Siro
This is the classic one — salamella, peppers, mayo, ketchup, onion, and fontina. It tastes like I'm 20 years old, coming back from a night out, drunk, and stopping at the food truck. It's nostalgic. The pepper and onion come through strongly, the fake pink sauce, and the cheese rounds it all out. It's simpler than the others, but it makes me happy. It's my least favorite of the four, but still good.
