Learn how to make your own beer yeast at home using just three ingredients: dried yeast, water, and flour. This simple method allows you to multiply a small amount of commercial yeast into a large block that can be stored in the fridge or freezer.

3 items- 7.5 gDried Brewer's YeastOne sachet (7-8 g)
- 25 gWater
- 60 gFlourUse a weak flour (00) for faster results
Method
- Dissolve the dried yeast in the water.
- Add the flour and mix until a compact block forms.
- Cover the block tightly with plastic wrap, ensuring no air remains.
- Place in the refrigerator at 4°C (39°F) for at least 24 hours, until the block turns yellowish and smells like beer yeast.
- Store the finished beer yeast in the refrigerator for up to 10 days, or freeze for up to 3 months. When needed, thaw in the refrigerator before use.
